Step 1: Preparing the Petri scale

 

Start with a sterile petri dish containing an agar solution. You can make this solution yourself or buy ready-made agar trays. Make sure you open the trays under sterile conditions to avoid contamination.

 

Step 2: Add traces

 

Are you using a spore print? Then gently scrape a small amount of spores onto the surface of the agar in the petri dish. For a liquid spore solution, use a sterile syringe to apply a small drop to the agar base.

 

Step 3: Incubate the traces
